LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Mobile-focused ticketing service SeatGeek announced the hiring of Charlie Sefi as Managing Director to oversee the company’s EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) entertainment business.
Based out of SeatGeek’s London office, Sefi will focus on the growth of SeatGeek’s primary ticketing business and direct the sales, implementation and support teams across SeatGeek Enterprise’s UK and European entertainment clients.
Charlie joins SeatGeek with extensive experience in the world of spinning up tech startups. His most recent gig was at the restaurant reservation app Resy where he served as GM International until its recently announced acquisition by American Express.
Prior to Resy, he led Ticketscript as the Managing Director for the UK and Ireland until its acquisition by Eventbrite.
Charlie was also a founding director of the YPlan app, where he built and led sales, operations, and content teams.
“We’re thrilled to have Charlie join us in London to continue the momentum the team has worked so hard to build,” said GM International at SeatGeek, James McClure. “Our team is investing into the UK entertainment as there is a lot of room for us to thrive. Charlie’s experience across high growth SaaS, ticketing and consumer startups makes him uniquely qualified to take on this position.”
