DUBLIN, Ireland (CelebrityAccess) Four-fifths of The Spice Girls relived their 90’s career at Dublin, Ireland’s Croke Park Friday night but some of the fans apparently couldn’t hear it.
Victoria Beckham opted out of rejoining the group, which today includes Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm, known in the Spice Girls for their cute nicknames like Sporty Spice and Baby Spice. The tour launch included their many hits like “Spice Up Your Life,” “Say You’ll Be There,” and “2 Become 1” (read: the show included the band’s well-known song “Wannabe”).
However, the show was dragged down by sound issues, according to many of the attendees.
“There’s something wrong when the crowd at @spicegirls concert are all sitting down because no one has a clue what song is on because the sound really is THAT bad,” one fan posted.
The #spicegirls put on a fabulous show tonight. But am really surprised that nobody seems to be talking about how poor the sound was. Could hardly make out the words they were saying at times. Was worst sound I’ve ever heard at a concert pic.twitter.com/UnKsi3B4Wo

Rolling Stone posted a video of the Girls playing their hit song, which may or may not have had sound issues but was drowned out by the fans singing along to it, which would be appropriate.
Even Melanie Brown, aka Mel B, aka Scary Spice, acknowledged the issue.
“Thank you for attending our show tonight in Dublin,” Brown said. “We will see you in Cardiff and hopefully the vocals and sound will be much, much better… Pfft.”
