CHICAGO (CelebrityAccess) Rappers Remy Ma and Safaree are being sued by The Circle Foundation, an organization that mentors Chicago-area youth, for allegedly breaching their contract and derailing a benefit show.
The foundation claims the performers signed to perform at a fundraiser at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago April 21, 2018, and, according to the documents obtained by TMZ, the organization was forced to cancel the show after the two broke their contracts.
The Foundation claims the rappers’ contracts stated neither was allowed to perform within 60 miles of the arena for 30 days before the event, with Remy getting a $35,000 deposit payment and Safaree getting $7,250. However, Remy Ma broke the radius clause by performing at the Black Women’s Expo in Chicago April 8 and Safaree performed at the Rockin’ Horse Saloon & Grill in a Chicago suburb April 14.
Remy Ma’s attorney told TMZ she is “unaware of any purported legal action filed but, if such action is initiated she will respond accordingly.”
