NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Indie pop icons Vampire Weekend dropped into the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform some of their latest material with a little help from the indie rock sister act Haim.
Vampire Weekend, performed “This Life” as well, as “Jerusalem, New York, Berlin” which was included as a web exclusive. The tracks are both from Vampire Weekend’s new album, Father of the Bride, which dropped last week.
Father of the Bride is Vampire Weekend’s first new album in six years and is a followup to 2013’s Modern Vampires of the City. FOTB includes contributions from former Vampire Weekender Rostam Batmanglij, who amicably left the band in 2016, and Danielle Haim.
Vampire Weekend is currently supporting their latest album with a North American tour, with shows scheduled through late Autumn. Upcoming gigs for the band include the Hangout Festival on May 17th; The Big Weekend 2019 in the Uk on May 25th; and RBC Echo Beach in Toronto on June 5th.
