WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CelebrityAccess) An airport closure required Keith Urban to take alternative transportation to his performance at the SunFest in West Palm Beach, Fla., last night, delaying it for an hour and a half.
Urban posted on his Facebook page that, because the West Palm Beach airport was closed because of inclement weather, he and his bandmates had to pile into an Uber.
“OK SunFest …. here’s the plan- Miami airport CLOSED- soooooo we are in an Uber and driving like the dude stole it ! (man I hope he didn’t ….) we may be a little late ….. but WE WILL FREAKIN BE THERE”
He was supposed to play the Ford stage at 7:30 p.m. but did not take the stage until 9, according to WPTV News.
SunFest announced that unsafe weather caused the cancelation of Tears For Fears on the JetBlue Stage but that Urban would be able to play later that evening with fireworks to follow. A representative said the city gave SunFest permission to go past curfew.
