BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (CelebrityAccess) Pete Davidson, who was described as a star of “Saturday Night Live” when he was dating Ariana Grande, recently declined to go on stage at a comedy club in Bridgeport, Conn., because of the way he was introduced, which started a war of words that only comedians can do.

Davidson claims that he was going to perform last night at Vinnie Brand’s Stress Factory but didn’t make it on stage because the owner, Brand, “disrespected me and did something that I told him not to do and I can’t perform under those circumstances.”

Davidson, who is one of the cast members of SNL, made the announcement in a video from his car immediately after leaving the club.

According to Davidson, he specifically asked the club owner to not mention Grande or recent flame Kate Beckinsale in his introduction, which Brand proceeded to do. Patrons confirmed that Brand did mention the women but only to instruct the crowd to not heckle the comedian regarding them, according to TMZ (Davidson recently had a showdown with an audience member who heckled him about Grande’s former, deceased boyfriend, Mac Miller).

Vinnie Brand did not take the diss sitting down but, instead, literally standing up. The club owner played the apology in front of the crowd and made an epic rant, claiming that he was instructed specifically to mention the ex-girlfriends by Davidson’s security.
