ZURICH (CelebrityAccess) — Switzerland’s leading ticketing platform, the CTS Eventim-owned Ticketcorner, announced the launch of fanSALE, the services’ dedicated fan-facing ticket resale platform.
The fanSALE platform has already been live in the UK and Germany, where fans are allowed to resell a limited amount of ticket through the service for no more than a 10% markup over face value.
However, the service in Switzerland will not allow any markups and only allow fans to list tickets for the original price.
Payment will be handled via credit card and tickets will be digitally exchanged for print-at-home. As well, fanSALE prohibits tickets from other services to be resold via the platform.
“Unfortunately, Swiss legislation still allows for the machinations of dubious resale platforms, and at the political level, there are no initiatives in sight to put an end to these activities. That’s why we want to offer our customers a fair alternative with fanSALE. We guarantee the authenticity of each ticket offered on fanSALE and the sale at the original price plus a cost-covering expense compensation. Each ticket on the platform receives our “Ticketcheck” and “Fair Deal” quality seals. We counter commercial trade by allowing only a limited number of tickets per person to be resold,” said fanSALE CEO Andreas Angehrn in a blog post announcing the launch.
