LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Madonna’s latest single, “Medellin” featuring Maluma, was launched with much fanfare on Wednesday but the record has since all but disappeared.

Madonna premiered the song with Zane Lowe on Apple’s Beats 1 Radio but, although it rose to No. 9 at iTunes, it was at No. 87 as of last night and might be off of the iTunes Top 100 list as of today. Meanwhile, it has yet to appear on Spotify’s US charts. The song, which was written with Columbian Reggaeton star Maluma, is on Columbia’s streaming charts in the No. 30 range.

The song was supposed to be the splashy lead-in for Madonna’s upcoming album, Madame X, which is expected to drop June 14.

“I have to say, I was surprised ‘Medellin’ was so bad,” wrote critic Roger Friedman. “It was as if she was trying to do Camilla Cabello with ‘Havana’ but wound up on a cruise playing shuffleboard. ‘Medellin’ has no life to it. I can’t imagine that she thought young people were going to be singing along to ‘1 , 2, cha cha cha.'”
