(CelebrityAccess) – Ahead of the launch of the fifth installment of his Crossroads Guitar Festival, Eric Clapton announced plans for a limited concert run in September.

Set to kick off at the Chase Center in San Francisco, the brief run also features shows at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sept. 13th and Talking Stick Resort Arena on September 14th.

Eric Clapton’s band for these shows will include Doyle Bramhall II, Paul Carrack, Nathan East, Steve Gadd, and Chris Stainton with Sharon White and Katie Kissoon on backing vocals.

The shows will serve as a prelude to the Clapton-curated Crossroads Guitar Festival, which will take place in Dallas on September 20th and 21st. The sold-out show will feature performances from Clapton, as well as a who’s who of noted guitar artists including Gary Clark Jr., Keb’ Mo’, Sheryl Crow, Jeff Beck, Peter Frampton, Buddy Guy, Joe Walsh, Bonnie Raitt, Jimmy Vaughn, Gustavo Santaolalla, and numerous others.

Clapton just concluded a residency at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo and is heading to the UK for a 3-night stand at Royal Albert Hall in London in May. He’s also lined up for European dates in June, including scheduled performances in Berlin, Vienna, Mannheim, and Dresden.
