(CelebrityAccess) The daughters of actor Ewan McGregor came out in a social media post and, at the same time, announced they did not attend Coachella because of a dislike of AEG founder Philip Anschutz.
Anschutz Entertainment Group is the parent company of Coachella promoters Goldenvoice and the founder is an unabashed Christian who has provided grants to conservative groups, with many of them supporting traditional marriage. LGBTQ advocacy group Freedom for All Americans reported in 2016 that Anschutz gave $190,000 to “anti-gay groups” between 2010 and 2013.
Esther McGregor, 17, posted that she and her older sister, Clara, were bisexual adding “#notokaycoachella. I’ll take the time now to say — I’m bisexual.” The post has apparently since been deleted.
Anschutz recently responded to a similar statement from English model Cara Delevigne, saying, “I support the rights of all people and oppose discrimination and intolerance against the LGBTQ community. I see this as a matter of basic human rights.”
