LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Ron Howard’s documentary of Luciano Pavarotti is expected to debut June 7, with a trailer that promises a stirring examination of the opera great’s life.
“The reason he was great is he lived those songs,” Bono says in the trailer. “The mistakes he made, the hopes, the desires, all of that comes crashing into the performance.”
In a clip of an interview, a journalist asks Pavarotti if he is a “trusting person,” and the singer replies, “Are you joking? I would not exist if I didn’t trust people.”
The Italian singer died at age 71 of pancreatic cancer in 2007. He was said to be a “nervous wreck before every performance. He would always say, ‘I go to die.'”
