Sharon Osbourne Explains Ozzy’s Ailments

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Ozzy Osbourne’s recent, long postponement of his farewell tour was motivated by several ailments and an injury that dislodged metal rods in his body, according to wife/manager Sharon Osbourne.

Osbourne has been under the weather after a bout of pneumonia but he also apparently had a nasty fall in his house that brought back bad memories of an ATV crash from 2003 that left him in a coma for eight days.

In that accident, Ozzy broke his collarbone, ribs and a neck vertebra but made a full recovery. However, it did include adding metal supports to his frame.

Sharon, during her daytime gig at “The Talk” on CBS, teared up while discussing her husband’s recent travails, which appear to be legion. She said he is sorry to disappoint so many fans.

“Ozzy is… Oh, Lord, I don’t know where to begin, and I have to make this quick,” she said. “He, at the beginning of the year, had a bad flu that went to bronchitis, that went to pneumonia. And then when he had the flu, he came out of hospital and he had a bad accident at home. He fell. And he fell in the middle of the night. And years ago, previously, he had a motorbike accident, where he was in a coma for days. And what he’d done was he reinjured his back and neck and shoulders. And all of the metal rods and everything that were put in his body were dislodged. So we had to cancel his year events. But he’s good, he’s fine, he’s great.”

Ozzy’s tour has been postponed to February.
