INDIO, CA (CelebrityAccess) — Coachella organizers announced that singer Solange Knowles has canceled both weekend performances at the festival this year.
In a statement posted to their social media, Coachella attributed the cancellation to “major production delays” but did not elaborate.
“Due to major production delays, Solange will unfortunately no longer be performing at this year’s festival. She sends her sincerest apologies, and looks forward to performing at Coachella in the future,” the post said.
Solange was slated to perform behind the release of hew latest album When I Get Home which she released last month. The album was her first release since 2016’s A Seat at the Table and featured collaborations with everyone from Pharrell to Earl Sweatshirt.
The first weekend of Coachella is slated to kick off this week on Friday with headliners Childish Gambino, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, and Tame Impala.
