ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CelebrityAccess) Spectra’s Gunnar Fox has been promoted to VP and GM of PPL Center in downtown Allentown, Pa.
Fox, who has 12 years of industry experience and already held the title of general manager at the facility, began his career with Spectra, when it was named Global Spectrum, in 2006 as an event manager at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. He became its GM then opened the 5,000-seat EnCana Events Centre in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, where he worked for two years.
He then spent six years as GM of Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, N.M., before moving to Allentown where he was named PPL’s first general manager before its 2014 opening.
Fox oversees more than 150 booking at the facility including last year’s opening night of Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour and is the recipient of a 2015 Generation Next Award.
The venue is home to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the AHL affiliate of the NHL Philadelphia Flyers.
