(CelebrityAccess) — Veteran singer-songwriter Lionel Richie announced plans for a North American tour and a new full-length album.
Richie’s “Hello Tour” kicks off unofficially at the Kaaboo Festival in Arlington, Texas on May 10th and officially at Smart Financial Center in Sugar Land, Texas, On May 28th.
Additional shows on the 33-date tour include the Ravinia Festival outside of Chicago on June 12, and Toronto Jazz Fest on June 27th, and Summerfest in Milwaukee on July 2nd, before the whole affair wraps on August 30th at the Minnesota State Fair.
“I am so excited to bring my Live from Las Vegas album to life and to share it with my fans,” says Richie. “Also, I’m really looking forward to going on tour and performing for everyone this summer – it’s going to be one big party.”
Richie also unveiled plans for a new live album, which will debut amidst the tour on August 23rd. The album, recorded at Zappos Theater at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood Casino, will feature a selection of his fan favorites, culled from both his career as a solo artist and his tenure with the Commodores.
