IOWA (CelebrityAccess) Slipknot and drummer Chris Fehn have mutually departed after the latter accused the band of hiding money from him.
Fehn sued his bandmates, claiming that he was under the impression that money from touring and merch was placed into a single company that was dispersed to the band members but he allegedly found separate businesses used for collecting money for the band. Fehn claimed he received zero dollars from those entities and asked for a full accounting of the band’s finances, according to The Blast.
“You’re gonna read a lot of bullshit today. This is all I’ll say,” tweeted singer Corey Taylor in Response. “JUST YOU WAIT TIL THE TRUTH COMES OUT. Long Live The Knot.”
The band recently posted the following on its website:
“Slipknot’s focus is on making album #6, and our upcoming shows around the world, our best ever. Chris knows why he is no longer a part of Slipknot. We are disappointed that he chose to point fingers and manufacture claims, rather than doing what was necessary to continue to be a part of Slipknot. We would have preferred he not take the path that he has, but evolution in all things is a necessary part of this life.”
The band is expected to release a new album Aug. 9. Fehn has been with the band since 1998.
