SOUTH KOREA (CelebrityAccess) Two K-pop stars are facing police questioning over scandals that intertwine.
K-pop star and entrepreneur Seungri, who recently retired amid a scandal, is expected to appear at a Seoul police station today over an allegation he attempted to provide prostitutes to his business partners, according to the Associated Press. Meanwhile, solo star Jung Joon-young has arrived at the Seoul station to face questioning about him secretly filming sex with about 10 women, an action that he has admitted to.
Joon-young shared the videos on a mobile-phone app called Kakao Talk; Seungri was allegedly one of the eight men in the group, according to the AP. Seungri, a part of the five-member group Big Ban, has denied the charges against him but the 28-year-old retired as the scandal grew.
South Korea’s entertainment industry has faced recent scrutiny after allegations of sexual assault and abuse, with reports that female trainees have been forced to provide sexual services to men in power.
