FRANKLIN, TN (CelebrityAccess) — The Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival has bounced back after a disastrous 2018, with organizers announcing a lineup for 2019 that will see the festival headlined by Foo Fighters, Keith Urban and The Killers.
The 2-day festival, which is now in its 5th year, is scheduled to take place on September 21-22 at Harlinsdale Farm, in Franklin, Tennessee, located in the outskirts of Nashville.
The bill for 2019 also features Leon Bridges, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, The Head & The Heart, Live, Jenny Lewis, Lauren Daigle, Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real all slated to perform.
The festival faced severe storms on its first day last year, forcing organizers to pull the plug on programming on Saturday night and all of Sunday due to the festival grounds being inundated by more than 2 inches of rain from Saturday’s storms.
Festival co-founder Michael Whelan described to the Nashville Tennessean the flooded conditions of the festival ground on Sunday morning. “We were literally in feet of water in certain areas,” festival co-founder Michael Whelan told the newspaper. “The emotion of that was almost worse for me,” he added. “We got through Saturday. We could have woken up Sunday and had a bright, sunny day, and you deal with it. You trudge through it.”
