LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — The English post-punk band Gang of Four have pulled out of their upcoming tour of Asia, citing continuing health issues and unspecified issues with their Chinese promoter.

Last month the group curtailed their North American tour after lead-singer Andy Gill was hospitalized with a chest infection.

Now they have postponed all of their upcoming dates in Asia, including China and Japan, as well as performances in Australia and New Zealand.

In a statement released via the band’s social media, a rep said: “Andy Gill cannot fly due to respiratory illness, so Gang of Four’s dates in Japan, Australia and New Zealand have been postponed. The China dates had already been postponed due to unrelated issues the promoter is addressing. All of these dates are being rescheduled. Australia / NZ likely to be late October / November. Confirmation in a day or two. Apologies for any inconvenience”

Gill, who is now 63, is the only original member of the group left. Gang of Four are best known for their 1979 debut on EMI “Entertainment!”
