CHICAGO (CelebrityAccess) The federal investigation into R. Kelly’s alleged criminal acts against minors has reportedly spread and is also targeting those around the singer who may have assisted in alleged trafficking and abuse, sources told The Blast.
Officials apparently believe that those who would have facilitated the alleged transport of underage girls across state lines are just as guilty as Kelly of abuse. A big part of the investigation has been about Kelly’s “team of enablers” who would have set up the itineraries officials said.
The fed investigation is being led by ICE Homeland Security Investigations, sources said. HIS is the investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security.
Multiple interviews were conducted in Georgia this week, including one with Kelly’s ex-stylist and another with a brand-new accuser who claims sexual abuse and the witnessing of sexual abuse. The family of Joyceln Savage, featured in the documentary “Surviving R. Kelly,” apparently handed investigators physical evidence like plane tickets, text messages, and photos that contributed to the case against the R&B performer.
