NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Warner Music Group’s publishing unit Warner/Chappell announced the appointment of Ashley Winton as Senior Vice President of Creative Services.
Winton will be based in New York and report to the company’s Co-Chair and COO Carianne Marshall and will be tasked with developing business opportunities for the publisher’s songwriting clients.
She will also oversee the Warner/Chappell Production Music division, which focuses on creating music compositions for TV shows, films, and media companies.
Under the direction of Winton, Warner/Chappell Production Music will be run by the newly appointed Alec Sharpe as Vice President of Business Development & Operations and Pat Weaver as Head of Production.
Prior to joining Warner/Chappell, Winton did a stint as Vice President of Music for National Geographic Partners, where she helped to develop the audio aspects of the company’s rebranding bid.
She also did a turn in Creative Licensing at SONGS Publishing and led the music department for Shine America, a television production company, which produced ‘reality’ television such as Masterchef and The Biggest Loser, as well as scripted series including The Office, Ugly Betty, and The Tudors.
