LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Les Moonves, the fired CEO of CBS Corp. who has been publicly battling for his pension after sexual allegations arose, is already back in business and has been for some time.
Moonves is running a new company called Moon Rise Unlimited, according to a Nov. 1 filing with the California Secretary of State’s office. The business already has an office in a Sunset Strip high-rise in Los Angeles, according to the New York Times. The filing occurred less than two months after Moonves was fired.
The LLC will focus on “entertainment services” and Moonves is dubbed its manager in a separate filing. He registered the name Moonrise Productions for “film and television services” and Moon Rise Technologies for “streaming services and distribution.” The filings are short on details. There is no website, no buzz, and a spokesman would only confirm to the Times that an office space exists.
The new ventures occur as Moonves fights CBS’ decision to disallow his $120 million severance package, ruling that Moonves was fired for cause over multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.
