LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – The Los Angeles County coroner’s office announced this week that actor Verne Troyer died in April of suicide by alcohol intoxication, according to AP.
Troyer’s representatives indicated at the time of his passing that the actor, 49, had been struggling with depression and thoughts of suicide.
Troyer, who was born with achondroplasia, a genetic condition that limited his height, found success in Hollywood starring as Mini-Me in both 1999’s Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and its 2002 sequel Austin Powers in Goldmember. He also played banker-goblin Griphook in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and appeared in numerous TV shows, videos and other films over the course of his 20-year career.
