WASHINGTON (CelebrityAccess) – Kid Rock will be joining Kanye West and President Trump in Washington D.C. this morning for the historic signing of the Music Modernization Act, according to Billboard.
Recording Academy President and CEO Neil Portnow and Recording Industry Association of America President Mitch Glazier will also attend the event, which is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. local time.
While neither Kid Rock nor Kanye were vocal advocates of the bill, both have publically supported Trump throughout his presidency, with West’s most recent display of affection being on SNL a few weeks back.
Last month the Senate unanimously passed the MMA––a single licensing entity that oversees the administration of mechanical reproduction rights for all digital uses of music––before the House of Representatives then unanimously approved an updated version of the bill, sending it to the president’s desk where it has been awaiting his final signature ever since.
