TORONTO (CelebrityAccess) – Canadian broadcaster CTV has today (Sept. 20) announced the first round of celebrity mentors for the second season of its hit original series, The Launch.
Mentors on deck to guide this season’s round of emerging artists vying for an opportunity to create a new hit single are Grammy® Award-winning singer/songwriter Sarah McLachlan, 4x JUNO-Award winning frontman of Hamilton rock band Arkells, Max Kerman, and One Republic’s Ryan Tedder. Tedder, who served as a celeb mentor last year and was the creative force behind the Season 1 certified platinum hit single “Ain’t Easy,” also returns as a producer.
Additionally, Québec pop icon Marie-Mai (STAR ACADÉMIE, LA VOIX) will join the series’ as a permanent mentor on the weekly celebrity panel alongside music industry powerhouse Scott Borchetta. Fan favourite entertainment reporter Liz Trinnear (ETALK) has also been announced as the show’s new host.
The Launch begins production on its second season Sept. 26 in Toronto.
