LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Demi Lovato’s assistant apparently thought the singer was dead when she discovered Lovato had OD’d, and that one of Lovato’s bodyguards may be credited with saving her life, according to TMZ.
Sources told the website that the bodygaurd sensed there was an emergency at Lovato’s Los Angeles home last Tuesday and, when he entered the house, he heard the assistant screaming, “She’s dead, she’s dead!” Apparently, the bodyguard then went to Lovato’s side and noticed she was apparently not breathing plus there was blood on a pillow, a sign of hemorrhaging. Vomit may have also clogged her airways.
The bodyguard administered first aid to keep Lovato alive as paramedics were called, according to sources. Paramedics reportedly administered Narcan, which reverses the effects of an opioid overdose, upon arrival.
Sources told TMZ that the bodyguard, the assistant and others were aware that Lovato had fallen off the wagon and, months earlier, was “way out of it” at French Montana’s house party during Coachella.
