LIMOGES, Frances (CelebrityAccess) — French entertainment giant Vivendi revealed that they are staging a new festival in the city of Limoges in 2019.
According to French newspaper Le Populaire du Centre, the festival was confirmed by Vivendi’s Director of Communications Simon Gillham, who revealed that the fest will be organized and produced by the team behind the Brive Festival.
“The mayor of Limoges has already awarded us a grant and it will be the Brive team, piloted by [Brive Festival director] Stéphane Canarias who will oversee the event,” said Simon Gillham told the publication.
The new festival, which has yet to be named, will reportedly be a two-day affair which will take place in June, with electronic and urban music on offer.
The new festival will join Vivendi’s growing roster of live events, which includes the aforementioned Brive, as well as Live at Campo and Les Déferlante, which are produced by Vivendi subsidiary Olympia Productions.
As previously reported in CelebrityAccess, Vivendi is also reported to be in late-stage talks to acquire the Garorock festival, which is also staged in France.
