WALDORF, MD (CelebrityAccess) — Pop-punk rockers Good Charlotte announced that they and their label MDDN, have struck a worldwide partnership with BMG to release the band’s upcoming studio album later this year.
The group’s as-yet-untitled forthcoming album follows on the heels of the sixth studio album “Youth Authority” which they released in 2016 via the Madden brothers newly-formed MDDN record label.
“We feel our partnership with BMG is a natural one, as we’ve been fortunate enough to see firsthand their commitment to the artists they’re in business with,” said Benji and Joel Madden. “As the momentum for Good Charlotte continues to build in this new chapter of our career, BMG has consistently demonstrated the type of forward thinking, artist-friendly, entrepreneurial spirit that we really relate to and is in line with the way we want our business to feel. We are very happy to announce this partnership and are committed to letting creativity continue to lead the way.”
Originally formed in 1995, by vocalist Joel Madden, guitarist and vocalist Benji Madden, bassist Paul Thomas, guitarist and keyboardist Billy Martin, Good Charlotte went on a 5-year hiatus in 2011, only to be revived in 2015 in time to release “Youth Authority.”
While you never know what the future holds, Good Charlotte has a solid track record for a modern rock band, selling more than 11 million albums worldwide on the strength of singles such as The Anthem’, ‘Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous’ and ‘I Just Wanna Live.’
