DETROIT, MI (CelebrityAccess) — Eight months after Bob Seger was forced to postpone his “Runaway Train Tour” while he underwent spine surgery, the veteran rocker is ready to return to the road and has announced rescheduled tour dates.
Seger and the Silver Bullet Band will pick up the thread with a performance on Nov. 24th at the Sprint Center in Kansas. Additional makeup dates are scheduled through the rest of the year and into early 2019, concluding with a final show at the Forum in Los Angeles on Feb. 23rd.
Seger told Rolling Stone last January that he ruptured a disc in his spine shortly before kicking the tour off last August. He got through 13 dates on the run before his condition worsened and on the advice of his doctors, he consented to have surgery.
“My doctor said to me, ‘Oh no, that’s it, you’re done with this tour. You’re having surgery now,” Seger told Rolling Stone in January. “I’m feeling better all the time. They aren’t letting me lift anything over five pounds. I can’t do anything: no piano, no guitar, no nothing. But as soon as the pain stops, I’ll be playing again.”
All tickets for the originally scheduled shows will be honored at the new dates.
