LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Rapper Chris Brown has been hit with a lawsuit by a woman who claims she was sexually assaulted by a friend of Brown’s at a party in the singer’s California home.
The lawsuit, filed on behalf of “Jane Doe” by noted attorney Gloria Allred, alleges that the woman was raped multiple times at Brown’s home at the hands of Lowell Grissom, a rapper who is better known by his stage name Young Lo, and an unknown female assailant.
The civil complaint details a night of partying at Chris Brown’s home in which the alleged victim recounts having her cellphone taken away and being separated from her then roommate. She then alleges that she was furnished with drugs, but separated herself from the other revelers “hoping that Brown and the other partiers would leave her alone.”
The suit then alleges that Grissom and Brown along with several women, began to engage in sexual activity, with one of the female participants, identified in the suit as Doe X, forcing the plaintiff to engage in sexual acts with several people, including Grissom and Doe X.
The plaintiff then claims that when she was finally released, she went to a rape treatment center and the police, where she reported the attack.
The suit does not allege that Brown forced himself on the plaintiff but does allege that he was present at the time, and supplied controlled substances at the gathering.
The plaintiff is seeking punitive and exemplary damages in the case, as well as compensation for legal costs.
A representative for Brown did not return a request for comment.
