NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) – Downtown Music Publishing has announced the promotion of Steve Markland to Senior Vice President, A&R in Nashville.
Markland, who has led Downtown Nashville since its launch in February 2014, has lead the company in developing a roster that includes a wide variety of songwriters, artists and producers including: Jillian Jacqueline, Andy Albert, Tony Esterly, Who is Fancy, Sara Haze, Marc Beeson, Kendell Marvel, Kelly Archer, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, John Moreland and John Prine.
Prior to joining Downtown, Markland served as VP of A&R, Nashville at Warner/Chappell Music since 2009.
