PHILADELPHIA, PA (CelebrityAccess) — Live Nation is expanding their popular Urban-themed Summer Block Party festival to Philadelphia this year.
The Philadelphia iteration of the outdoor concert is set for June 30th at the Mann Center and includes hometown favorite headliners DJ Jazzy Jeff, Boyz II Men and Jill Scott.
The concert will be presented by local FM radio outlet 105.3 WDAS and will begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening an hour before the show.
The festival, which originally launched in Chicago in 2015 and expanded successfully into the Houston market in 2017. This year’s Houston event is set for The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on July 7th and will be headlined by Miguel, Fantasia, Ne-Yo, Tank.
Billboard reported that for the first time, the Chicago event will expand to two days, and will take place this year on July 14 & 15, with headliners that include Keith Sweat, Ja Rule & Ashanti, Ne-Yo, Tank, Daley, Babyface, Ludacris, Boyz II Men, Brandy, and Kevin Ross.
