ORLANDO, Fla. (CelebrityAccess) Jurors acquitted Noor Salman, widow of the Orlando nightclub shooter who killed 49 people two years ago, of laying to the FBI and assisting her husband in the attack.
Salman began sobbing when the verdict of not guilty was read a few minutes ago, according to the Associated Press. She had been accused of obstruction and providing material support to a terrorist organization. She faced life in prison.
Prosecutors claimed she and her husband scouted out locations for an attack, including Disney World’s shopping and entertainment complex. They also claimed she knew he was buying ammunition for his AR-15 in preparation for a jihadi attack.
