SEATTLE (CelebrityAccess) Whoever has been pushing all these buttons lately seems to still be at it: first it was accidentally revealing dates for Justin Timberlake, then a Hawaii missile launch warning, then Ozzy dates, and now it’s Pearl Jam’s stadium tour.
Dates for Pearl Jam’s upcoming North American shows briefly appeared on the band’s website Jan. 19, then taken down but not before Alternative Nation got a screen grab.
Baseball parks appear to be the theme: the dates displayed included Safeco Field in the band’s hometown of Seattle Aug. 8 and 10, Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, Mont., Aug. 13, Fenway Park in Boston Sept. 2 and 4, and Wrigley Field in Chicago, where Eddie Vedder’s favorite team, Chicago Cubs play, Aug. 18 and 20.
The website also briefly displayed a “The Home Shows” section, with graphics that added to the baseball theme.
The brief display follows a similar situation where Justin Timberlake’s tour plans (at least one of the shows) were displayed on Ticketmaster for a few hours and, recently, the same thing happened regarding Ozzy Osbourne’s upcoming farewell tour of North America. The first one turned out to be true; the second, which apparently included an announcement this weekend, has yet to be true.
Whatever the case, these disclosures, real or false, accidental or deliberate, do not appear to have a negative effect on the outcome. JT, for instance, quickly had dates sell out after the official announcement and had to add 10 more shows.
